Scott AFB / MidAmerica St. Louis (KBLV)

Scott Air Force Base and MidAmerica St. Louis are one airport: an active Air Force mobility base and a civil passenger terminal on the same pavement, east of Belleville. Two widely spaced parallels run northwest to southeast, a ten-thousand-foot strip and an eight-thousand-foot one, far enough apart that the two operations barely touch.

You work Scott Tower beneath St. Louis Approach, and no other field in VectorHeavy sounds like it. The radio runs Reach and Pat on the military side, with KC-135 tankers and the occasional C-17 or C-5 bringing wake separation to a field this size, Allegiant leisure Airbuses on the civil side, and a thin general-aviation trickle underneath. Northwest flow lands and departs the 32s, which the base's own safety briefing names as its instrument and calm-wind runways; southeast flow mirrors that on the 14s. The cycle publishes five arrivals and four departure procedures here, so most of the IFR work arrives on one and leaves on another.

This is the Busy tier: two independent parallels carrying two operations that do not behave alike. One local habit is not simulated and is worth knowing anyway. Belleville regulars will tell you the field occasionally stops for a VIP movement, a Cabinet aircraft or Air Force Two, and everything else waits its turn.
