San Francisco International (KSFO)

San Francisco International occupies four intersecting runways at the edge of San Francisco Bay. United and Alaska both use SFO as a hub, and the international and cargo mix adds widebodies to the parallel arrival streams.

You work NorCal Approach. The common West Plan lands 28L and 28R while departures use 1L and 1R. The less common Southeast Plan reverses the operation: arrivals on 19L and 19R, departures on 10L and 10R. Published FAA procedures supply the approach and departure paths.

The Heavy tier is about crossing arrival and departure banks, wake spacing and a flow change that alters the job. Carrier weights, route subset and traffic cadence are our game calibration. Shoreline geometry, terrain, minimum vectoring altitudes and MSAW are not modeled.
