Cape Girardeau Regional (KCGI)

Cape Girardeau Regional is southeast Missouri's towered commercial field, with the Mississippi just east of the airport. Its 6,500-foot 10/28 instrument primary crosses the shorter 2/20 light-aircraft runway.

You work Cape Girardeau Tower with Memphis Center overhead. Contour's Volare regional jets connect Chicago, Dallas / Fort Worth and seasonal Pensacola while a growing flight-school pattern and transient GA fill the gaps. East flow uses runway 10 and west flow uses 28; the shorter 2/20 remains available for light-aircraft approaches outside the normal flows. The current cycle carries six approaches but no arrivals or departure procedures, so every IFR departure leaves on radar vectors.

This is the Steady tier: a small regional schedule over a GA-majority board, with crossing pavement and persistent training traffic providing the work.
