Fort Myers · Field elevation 30 ft · 1 runways · Southwest Flow and Northeast Flow
Southwest Florida International gives Fort Myers a single 12,000-foot runway. Southwest, Delta, American and United share the vacation-market bank with Breeze, JetBlue and other scheduled carriers.
You work Fort Myers Approach. The same runway handles arrivals and departures in either direction, so a landing clearance or departure release occupies the only strip. Runway 24 is preferred overnight for noise abatement in the FAA record; the game offers it as a selectable flow but does not run a clock-driven noise program.
The Busy tier is a sequencing problem, not a parallel-runway puzzle. The FAA CIFP supplies supported published approaches and routes. Carrier weights, exact cadence and the representative destination pool are calibrated for play. Shoreline restrictions on visual approaches, terrain, minimum vectoring altitudes and MSAW are not modeled.
