Grand Rapids · Field elevation 794 ft · 3 runways · East Flow and West Flow
Gerald R. Ford International Airport has a long 8R/26L runway, crossing 17/35 and a shorter 8L/26R parallel. American, Delta, United, Southwest, Allegiant, Frontier, Sun Country and Avelo appear in the airport's passenger-airline directory.
You work Grand Rapids Tower. East flow lands and departs 8R; west flow uses 26L. Great Lakes Departure is the separate radar facility after takeoff, while the crossing and shorter strips stay visible on the field.
The Busy tier mixes mainline and regional airliners, leisure carriers and general aviation. The pinned CIFP yields no usable STAR or SID legs, so arrivals enter without a modeled STAR and IFR departures receive radar vectors. Carrier weights, fleet allocation, runway-use choice, route subset and cadence are game calibration. Terrain, MVA and MSAW are not modeled.
