Blue Grass (KLEX)

Blue Grass Airport is Lexington's Class C gateway, pairing a regional-airline and Allegiant schedule with the business aviation and training traffic of central Kentucky. The 7,004-foot 4/22 is the airline runway; the 4,000-foot 9/27 crosswind is restricted against scheduled passenger use.

You work Lexington Approach, sequencing American, Delta, United and Allegiant with N-number GA and a steady business-jet stream. Northeast flow uses runway 4 and southwest flow runway 22; 9/27 remains available outside the normal airline flows. The current FAA cycle carries eight generated approaches and no arrivals or departure procedures, so every IFR departure leaves on radar vectors.

This is the Busy tier: a compact Class C operation where airline sequencing, fast business traffic and a lively GA mix all use the same primary runway.
