Jackson · Field elevation 341 ft · 2 runways · South Flow and North Flow
Hawkins Field is Jackson's close-in general-aviation airport, with a 5,387-foot precision runway crossing the shorter 11/29 beside the Pearl River.
You work Hawkins Tower under Jackson Approach. N-number training and transient GA dominate, joined by business turboprops and light jets. South flow uses runway 16 and north flow reverses to runway 34; runway 11/29 remains available outside the normal flows. The current FAA cycle carries four generated approaches but no arrivals or departure procedures, so IFR departures leave on radar vectors.
This is the Steady tier: two crossing runways, persistent GA and a mixed-speed business stream create the work without scheduled-airline volume.
