Asheville · Field elevation 2,164 ft · 1 runways · South Flow and North Flow
Asheville Regional is a single-runway field in the Blue Ridge at 2,164 feet. Its surveyed 17/35 pavement is 8,002 feet long. The real airport is terrain-defined: VectorHeavy models NO terrain, NO minimum vectoring altitudes and NO low-altitude warning.
South flow lands and departs runway 17; north flow uses runway 35. American, Delta and United bring hub connections, Allegiant adds selected year-round leisure routes and business aircraft join GA traffic. Supported published approaches are present; IFR departures use radar vectors rather than a modeled SID.
This is the Busy tier: one runway shared by different speeds beneath Asheville's Class C. Flow selection, traffic weights and aircraft allocation are gameplay choices. This field must not be used to practice mountain terrain clearance. Local water, overnight closures, special climb gradients and the closed-tower right-hand pattern rule are not modeled.
