Pittsburgh International (KPIT)

Pittsburgh International spreads four runways across a high plateau west of the city: three long east-west parallels and the crossing 14/32. Civil airline banks share the field with Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard traffic.

You work Pittsburgh Approach. The prevailing west flow lands 28L and 28R while departures use 28C and 28R; east flow lands 10L and 10R while departures use 10C and 10R. Published arrivals and a broad Class B feed a board where runway assignment, wake spacing and mixed performance all matter. The current CIFP yields no usable SID legs, so every IFR departure receives radar vectors.

This is the Heavy tier: Southwest, American, Delta and United lead a varied domestic schedule, with Europe, Canada, cargo and military movements layered in. Carrier weights, equipment allocation, traffic cadence and the exact runway-role simplification are gameplay calibration. Terrain, minimum vectoring altitudes, MSAW and nighttime runway-use changes are not modeled.
