Salina Regional occupies the former Schilling Air Force Base, with the 12,301-foot 17/35 primary crossing the 12/30 crosswind and two shorter visual strips inside the old runway complex.

You work Salina Tower with Kansas City Center providing approach service. United regional jets connect Chicago, Denver and Houston, while Reach military transients, ExecJet and Flexjet corporate traffic share the board with Kansas State flight training. South flow works 17 with 12 as overflow; north flow reverses to 35 and 30. The current cycle publishes six approaches and no arrival or departure procedures, so every IFR departure leaves on radar vectors.

This is the Busy tier: more than 75,000 annual operations spread across airline, military, corporate and university training traffic, with four crossing runways and no published procedure structure to sort the flow for you.
